Henry Berlin describes service as an enlisted radar operator on a landing ship tank (LST) in the Normandy landings on D-Day plus 3 and in the Pacific Theater at Pearl Harbor after V-J Day. His cadet years at The Citadel, his post graduate studies in law and the operation of the family clothing business are mentioned.
