Army officer, member of The Citadel Class of 1940.

John Burrows recalls his decision to enter The Citadel and his achievements as a cadet. In World War II, he was on the staff of SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces) which allowed him an insider's perspective of the European Theater. After retirement from the Army, Burrows worked for a publishing company before returning to Charleston to accept the position of Assistant Commandant at The Citadel.
