James C. Fanning

James C. Fanning is a member of the Class of 1953. After graduating from The Citadel, Fanning attended Georgia Tech, and then worked for the Public Health Service in Savannah before spending six months with the Army. Fanning attended Tulane University for his postdoctoral research, and taught chemistry at Clemson University for about thirty years.

This collection consists of letters Fanning wrote to his parents from 1949 to 1953 while a cadet at The Citadel.
