Army Air Corps officer, lawyer, member of class of 1945.
Burnet Maybank reflects on his decision to enter The Citadel and his tour of duty during World War II. He served as a bomber pilot in the European Theater which included air support near the Normandy beaches after D-Day and some of the early bombing missions over Berlin. After the war, he became a lawyer and served as lieutenant governor of South Carlina from January 1959- January 1963.
