Army officer, businessman, member of the Class of 1948.
Philip Minges was a sophomore at Clemson College in 1942 when he reported for active duty. He experienced combat as an infantryman in the Eleventh Armored Division during the Battle of the Bulge. Minges reflects on his combat experience and the difficult winter conditions. Following World War II, he enrolled at The Citadel in 1946 and graduated in 1948. Minges worked for 50 years for Dupon in Camden, S.C. and also retired as an Army reserve colonel with 30 years of service.
