Carmine A. Pecorelli Collection

Carmine A. Pecorelli, Class of 1954, was awarded The Citadel Alumni Association’s 2017 Alumnus of the Year award on October 28, 2017. Mr. Pecorelli donated biographical and informational materials to The Citadel Archives during his visit, and recorded an interview through the Archives focusing on his experience as a cadet at The Citadel. Below is a description of the materials included in this collection.

1. Written responses to interview questions provided by The Citadel Archives (a recorded interview is also available to be listened to in The Citadel Archives)
2. Scrapbook of important events and projects in Mr. Pecorelli’s life, including photographs, correspondence, news clippings, and ephemera. Correspondents include Robert F. Kennedy, Susan Collins, and Charles P. Summerall
3. Copy of recommendation letter written by Mark W. Clark for Mr. Pecorelli, dated February 19, 1955
