Confederate States Army officer, educator, engineer, Citadel graduate 1854. Was engaged in the seige of Charleston in 1863. Watercolors, attributed to Radcliffe, of The Citadel, a rice mill and Charleston rooftops. Donated by William Ash of The English Gallery, Boston Mass. See 1982 and 1983 correspondence with donor.
