Relates to Reynolds’ active duty service, 1942-1945, as a commissioned officer and fighter pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps (Air Forces). Overseas tactical air support duty in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, China and Burma with the 9th, 10th, 12th and 14th Air Forces. Seventy combat missions 1943-1944. Aircraft flown: P-39, P-40, P-47, P-63. Student, US Army Command and Staff School, Ft. Leavenworth, KS and U.S. Army Strategic Intelligence School, Washington, D.C. 1945-1946.
