Army officer, member of Class of 1943.
George Webb described combat in Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge as commander of an armored infantry platoon, C Company, 48th Armored Infantry Battalion, Seventh Armored Division. His tours in Korea and Vietnam were mentioned as well as two tours at The Citadel as a Tactical Officer and Acting Commandant. General Mark Clark, Bill Clark, Pat Conroy, Nugent Courvoisie, Claudius E. Watts, John Palms and Mendel Rivers were mentioned by Col. Webb in his description of events at The Citadel.
