Last, but not least, congratulations

Parents' Weekend!

- (August 15, '06) Although the
weather was a little damp, the CFA had a great
weekend welcoming the remaining members of the
incoming knob class to campus (fall sports knobs
reported on July 24). The Class of 2010 is 651
strong! Knob parents, keep in mind that your knob
will be extremely busy the next several days.
So, do not worry too much if you don't hear from
them right away. And, remember, your CFA
company rep is only a phone call or e-mail
away.
Last, but certainly not least, a special thanks
goes out to Sticky
Fingers for another great job on the cookout
at The
Citadel Beach House! The CFA definitely recommends
a visit to Sticky
Fingers on your next visit to Charleston!
|
- (June 29, '06) A couple of items:
1) All CFA Company Representative slots are now
filled. Check them out here.
2) For parents of incoming freshmen, the Class
of 2010 Matriculation Information site is
up. Please take a look at each of the links on
the site (including the CFA "Nice
To Have" list) and download the .pdf
documents that are there. They will help your
son/daughter prepare to begin their knob year!

- (May
11, '06) Congratulations to the Class
of 2006 and their families! Some probably
thought this day would never come; others can't
believe how quickly it arrived. Either way, congratulations
to all graduating seniors and their families!
The CFA wishes each of you well!
Best wishes are also in order for the Classes
of 2007 and 2008 who will be assuming the leadership
positions within the Corps of Cadets this fall.
Check out the "Top
8."
Last, but not least, congratulations to the Class
of 2009 who are now finally upperclass
cadets. Thanks to all the family members who supported
these young men and women throughout their knob
year!

- (May

needed facelift! Please click the link at the
bottom left hand side of the page to provide any

- (Dec.
14, '05) The last day of final exams was yesterday.
Now that all cadets have left campus for the holiday
furlough, the CFA would like to take this opporutnity
to send its best wishes to all cadets and their
families for the happiest and safest of holidays.
When cadets return in January, Lieutenant General
John Rosa, USAF (Ret) will have assumed office
as the 19th President of The Citadel. It appears
that 2006 will be an exciting one at The Citadel!
|
- (Nov. 23, '05) Please remember
the family of Cadet
Leith Paul Trask III in your thoughts and
prayers. Cadet Trask, a Tango Company sophomore,
died in an auto accident yesterday morning while
home on Thanksgiving furlough. The CFA sends is
warmest and best wishes to the entire Trask family
during this very difficult time.
|
- (Nov. 22, '05) The Corps of Cadets
has departed campus for a well-deserved furlough.
As you know, the Thanksgiving holiday is indeed
a perfect opportunity to reflect upon the things
and people in our lives for which we are thankful.
The CFA is thankful for each of the young men
and women who make up the Corps of Cadets. We
are also thankful for cadet parents (and others)
who regularly encourage our cadets to persevere
and succeed! Don't forget; exams are just around
the corner. Please encourage your cadet to do
his/her best on their upcoming exams!
Happy Holidays!
