CFA GOALS:
Since its inception in 1993, The Citadel Family Association (CFA) has been dedicated to three main goals:
* To provide information to, and support for, the families of current cadets;
* To provide families with a forum for discussion of common interests; and
* To support college initiatives.

CFA BENEFITS:
* The "Nice To Have List" of extras to send with incoming freshmen (in addition to the college's official list).
*One Mother's Experience - "Survival Tips"
* Cadet company representatives who can be a liaison for other cadet parents each year.
* All In The Family (sponsored by the South Carolina Federal Credit Union), a quarterly newsletter sent to all cadet parents.

2012 Corps Day CFA Friday Meeting:

• Friday, 16 March 2:00pm
• Ducket Hall Auditorium (access through Bond)

**We have moved our meeting spot from Bond 165 to Ducket Hall Auditorium. Duckett is attached to Bond, but at the other end of the long hallway from Bond 165. Signs will be posted.

CFA - Finding a Hotel:
Finding hotels at reasonable costs can be tricky in Charleston, as pricing jumps during event weekends (which are frequent in this town!)..

We recommend using online hotel search websites, but always ask for a Citadel or Citadel Family Association discount. This requires you to compare rates online, verse a phone call w/ mention of the discount possibility above.

For those budget minded, consider searches of hotels West of the Ashley River, or in North Charleston near the airport.

CITADEL HEROES :
Started in 2007, the Citadel Heroes program was created to send Citadel cadets serving on the front lines with our Armed Services care packages to let them know that their service is appreciated and that they remain in our prayers.

The initial response to the program brought with it an overwhelming outpouring of support from our CFA families and Citadel Cadets. This mission was given the designation of Citadel Heroes. This is how the Citadel Heroes enterprise was born... (link for more)

CADET SENDOFF EVENTS:
Upperclass CFA parents are now hosting more and more Cadet Sendoff events. We have created a new reference for upperclass parent hosts of these events to provide framework and guidance to ensure Success.
