CFA Matriculation Day 2009
Volunteers,
On behalf of the Citadel Family
Association Board of Directors and Committee Coordinators we want to extend a
warm, heartfelt THANK YOU for
your tremendous efforts and unending enthusiasm on Matriculation Day 2009! We thank you
for volunteering to serve and we are personally, so proud to be able to
serve with each one of you.
The army of Blue Shirt Volunteers was a noticeable presence on campus
and the positive atmosphere from all the volunteers, board and committee
coordinators was above and beyond anything we could have imagined or anything
we have ever seen! Every volunteer we encountered
was so pleasant, so positive and happy to serve in whatever capacity was needed. The air was electric with your positive
spirit all day long! We have been contacted by General Rosa, the Commandant,
and several vice presidents in some manner over the last week, praising each of
you and how important the CFA is to The Citadel.
We look forward to getting to
know each of you over the next several years as we continue the service of
this dedicated volunteer organization. Our CFA involvement has been
incredibly rewarding and as chairman, we could not be more blessed than to
serve alongside each of you. As proud parents of a cadet, one
matter of great significance to us was the importance of providing some contact
or a link to every family
leaving a child at The Citadel on matriculation day, as we had been given two
years ago! You
certainly exceeded that, as you helped support over 715 new Citadel Families (the
largest class in 33 years). Your service
was appreciated as the knobs and their families began a journey that we all
traveled not so very long ago. Your pride and love of The Citadel was shown by
your incredible service all day long to each family you encountered!
Thank you for sharing your
smiles and offering your encouraging words to the families who were uncertain
as to what to expect next. Your personal stories and experiences were priceless! We thank you for opening your
heart, giving of your time, lending your muscle and providing your shoulder to
lean on when needed!
If you have any comments or suggestions on
Matriculation Day or anything concerning the CFA, please do not hesitate to email
us at jggame@comcast.net or give us a call at 843-607-2572 anytime. Each of you represents the eyes and ears of the
CFA and your input is very important to us all!
Coming from diverse backgrounds, we are
united by two common threads: the love of our children and the love of The
Citadel. By our service we will continue to grow the CFA and continue to show
to all that come to this exceptional institution, We
are a Citadel Family!
In
appreciation of your dedication,
James & Mary Game
