One of the main reasons the African American Society was founded was to promote the growth of minority groups at The Citadel.  In order to raise awareness the cadets work in the surrounding communities, doing various community services activities.

Current Community Service Projects:

· Tutoring/mentoring at local elementary, middle, and high schools

· Helping prepare for local events

· Adopt-A-Highway

· Black History Month Bazaar
