Comments:
The list is for information only - we reserve the right to correct clerical
errors. A complete list of committee assignments, including ROTC faculty,
student members, administrative liaisons and memberships of other committees
will later come out of the Executive Vice President's office.
We hope, however, that in accordance with the Faculty Council-approved charters, most committees will have their organizational meetings with the election of a chair before the end of this semester. I have notified separately those designated to call that first meeting.
The column YEARS contains the number of years left in a membership term (which normally lasts three years). We had to curtail the lengths of many of the initial terms in order to achieve a uniform distribution of expiration dates across clusters. In doing so we facilitate the continuity of the committee work by preventing situations where in a committee all members of one cluster (or even the whole committee) are newcomers.
The Faculty Council has set a maximum of two consecutive terms for each committee membership. The column TERM contains the number of the present term (1 or 2).
An asterisk after an entry indicates that the person is on leave for the year or a part thereof (see the column "Remarks"); an "r" in the same column denotes the proxy for that period.
