Minutes of the Special Meeting of Sept. 18, 2003
Board of Visitors Room, Jenkins Hall

1. Prof. Lisa Zuraw, chairperson of Faculty Council, called the meeting to order at 11:07 a.m.

2. Members attending: Profs. Allen, Andrade, Bloss, Bishop, B. Carter, Chen, Davakos, Darden, Davis, Knapp, Lally, Matthews, McKinney, Miller, Murray, Niksch, Snively, Woolsey, Zuraw, Hurren for Briggs and Silver for Moody. Ms. Sue Wilcox, Secretary of the Chemistry Department, attended as an impartial observer to count the votes in this more formal than usual procedure.

3. Members absent: Profs. Hewett and Lipscomb.

4. Faculty Council elected Peter Greim and Bob White to the Provost Search Committee by a majority in two rounds of secret ballots.

5. The meeting was adjourned at 11:30.
