1. Call to order BGEN Poole called the meeting to order. In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of Faculty Council, a joint faculty/faculty council luncheon meeting was held.

2. Professor Hack Ezell, Chair of the Faculty Council, spoke of some of the Faculty Council highlights throughout the years. FC has been very involved in the college and the community and many of the good ideas and enhancements of the campus originated with FC.

3. Dennis Rhoad, Board of Visitors member and chair of the VPAA search committee reported on the progress of the search. The charge of the committee is to come up with a short list of viable candidates to present to President Grinalds. A consulting firm has been hired and the committee has met with the president, the deans, and the executive director of CDF to gather information on their vision for the institution and qualifications of potential candidates.

4. President Grinald's spoke of his reaction to the new school year, statistics on the entering freshmen class, the role of the faculty in the life of the College, and building and fundraising plans.

5. The meeting was followed by lunch and cake cutting.
