The meeting was called to order by Dr. Michael Barrett.

  1. OLD BUSINESS
    1. Election - Chairperson
      1. Dr. Michael Barrett opened the floor for nominations. Dr. Kathy Laboard Brown was elected chairperson for AY 2002-2003.

    2. Election - Cluster Chairpersons
      1. Cluster A: Dr. Kerry Lassiter, Chairperson
        1. Departments: Business, Education, Psychology, and Health and Sports Medicine

      2. Cluster B: Dr. Michael Barrett, Chairperson
        1. Departments: English, History, Library, Modern Languages, and Political Science and Criminal Justice

      3. Cluster C: Dr. Saul Adelman, Chairperson
        1. Departments: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science, Physics, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering

  2. NEW BUSINESS
    1. Presentation of Research Proposals
      1. Proposals with October, 2002 conference dates were reviewed and recommended for approval.

      2. Proposals with conference dates of 01 Nov - 15 Feb were sent to Cluster Committees for review and recommendations.

      3. Letter/email was sent to applicants who submitted proposals with conference dates after the call period cutoff.
