Contract for Publication in El Cid

(When notified of his/her work's acceptance, the AUTHOR must sign two copies and forward them to the EDITOR--Dr. Mark P. Del Mastro, Modern Languages, The Citadel, Charleston, S.C. 29409--who will sign and return one copy.)

Del Mastro, EDITOR (redactor), as agent of The Citadel's Tau Iota Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, henceforth known as PUBLISHER, to publish an original work by the AUTHOR entitled

The AUTHOR guarantees that the work is completely his/her own and that it has not been published previously nor is it or any part of it presently being considered for publication by anyone other than the EDITOR.

The AUTHOR guarantees that the work does not infringe upon the copyright of others.

The AUTHOR guarantees not to hold the EDITOR or PUBLISHER liable for any expenses or damages resulting from the contents of the work.

The AUTHOR grants full permission to the EDITOR to make any grammatical corrections to his/her work before publication.

The AUTHOR understands that his/her own work will not be published unless he/she pays the $5 fee used toward financing the annual Ignacio R. M. Galbis Award.*

Finally, the copyright of the work reverts to the AUTHOR upon publication.

*El Cid is an annual electronic publication of the Tau Iota Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, The Citadel, with issues in the spring. Each author whose work is accepted for publication must pay a $5 fee used toward financing the annual Ignacio R. M. Galbis Award. Checks are to be made out to "Tau Iota Chapter, Sigma Delta Pi," included with this completed form and sent to:
