Mission and Description

After concluding its 3rd annual contest in 2006, the Lowcountry Spanish Teacher of the Year Award was absorbed by the South Carolina Spanish Teacher of the Year program to form one consolidated endeavor. Beginning in 2007, oustanding Spanish teachers in the Lowcountry's and greater South Carolina's K-12 public and private institutions can be nominated only for the statewide competition, Sigma Delta Pi's South Carolina Spanish Teacher of the Year.
