Seals

Sea, Air, Land Team officers (SEALs) serve in the Special Warfare community. SEALs perform various missions to include unconventional, counterguerilla, and clandestine operations. Officers selected for this community attend the rigorous Basic Underwater Demolition School (BUDS), for training in physical conditioning, hydographic survey, diving, demolition, reconnaissance and land warfare.

BUDS graduates attend Army jump school, and specialized training in communications, explosive ordnance disposal, and foreign languages if required by SEAL Team assignments.

The men of this community are Navy SCUBA divers who receive 13 weeks of basic dive training following the Surface Warfare Officer Basic Course.
