PUBLIC SAFETY MISSION

The mission of Public Safety is to plan, program and provide for those law enforcement and security services necessary to ensure

the safety and security of all persons and property on The Citadel campus, or otherwise under the jurisdiction of The Citadel, through the enforcement of laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and procedures promulgated by the state of South Carolina, The County and City of Charleston, and The Citadel. Also, to provide other public services.

The Citadel Department of Public Safety is responsible for initial management and coordination of all crisis management situations ocurring on The Citadel's property or otherwise under the jurisdiction of The Citadel.
