Program Funds
You may designate your gift to support virtually any area of campus life, such as a specific school or department; a class scholarship fund; Daniel Library; The Citadel Graduate College; or a particular cadet club, activity, religious group, or athletic team.
When making your gift, simply include a note to specify the purpose of your gift (for example, on a contribution card, the memo field of your check, or in the "Comment" box of the online donation form). This designation will allow the Foundation to allocate your gift properly to the desired area of support.
A few examples of frequently selected funds appear below.
Cadet Life Fund
The Cadet Life Fund at The Citadel Foundation will strive to enrich the lives of cadets beyond the classroom. This fund will enhance traditional educational offerings through special lecture series, fine arts performances, special training initiatives and other activities, thereby fulfilling The Citadel's mission to educate the whole person. Gifts to the fund may be made at any time and in any amount.
CGC Program Fund
The Citadel Graduate College (CGC) has enabled The Citadel to expand its impact on the Lowcountry and significantly affect the quality of higher education in the state of South Carolina. Through its graduate degree and professional development programs, CGC serves a population of more than 2,000 students annually. Without these vital programs, many students from the Charleston area would be unable to complete their degrees and certifications locally. The CGC Program Fund is used for enhancing the learning experience of students currently enrolled and recruiting promising new students and faculty. The fund enables The Citadel Graduate College to enhance student services such as financial aid, faculty support staff, facilities, research resources, and technology. Gifts to the fund may be made at any time and in any amount.

In particular, the Daniel Library Fund provides students and faculty of The Citadel access to cutting-edge information resources in their learning, teaching, and research activities. Permanent Maintenance Fund
In order to maintain its standard of excellence, The Citadel must have the resources to continually maintain and upgrade the physical facilities of the college. The Permanent Maintenance Fund provides resources for this purpose. In order to encourage giving to the Permanent Maintenance Fund, a special recognition opportunity has been established. Each donor who contributes a gift of $50,000 or more to the Permanent Maintenance Fund will be recognized with the naming of a room in a barracks on campus. Gifts to the fund may be made at any time and in any amount.
