Lowcountry Writing Project

We've extended our deadline! Applications for the 2012 Invitational Summer Institute will be accepted through February 6, 2012. To apply for the Summer Institute, you need to complete the following steps:

1. Complete the Online Application Form. (Please Note: You will be provided space to respond to two writing prompts regarding how you use writing in your classroom and best practices in writing. You may want to compose your responses in a word processing program and copy/paste the response into the form.)

2. A reference form will be emailed to the adminstrator indicated in your application. Please inform this person that you have provided their name as a reference.

3. Attend an interview on Thursday, January 26, or Thursday, February 9, at The Citadel. (Capers 109, 4:30-6:00.) Invitations, based on the written application and the interview, will be issued shortly after each interview. (Each applicant should attend only one interview.)

If you are invited to attend the Invitational Summer Institute, you will need to be able to attend all sessions: the March 10 conference, the April 28 writing marathon, and al 14 sessions in June. Your tuition, fees, books, and other course materials will be covered by the Lowcountry Writing Project. Upon successful completion of the Institute, you will receive six hours of graduate credit.
