Describe two "best practices" involving writing, either of which you could use as a sample demonstration during the Summer Institute. For each best practice, provide an overview of the lesson and its goals, a description of the writing activities, and copies of any assessment measures (such as scoring guides). Ideally, you should have access to samples of student work generated by each lesson.
